I genuinely get goosebumps when I see my midlife mentoring clients reclaiming their authentic selves - excavating their true selves from beneath the heavy weights they have piled on top of them, throwing off the mantle of a career they no longer love, dusting off that playful, creative spirit that's been quashed and squeezed into a box for too many years.
I work with people from all professions who are desperate to break free from the grind, reconnect to their playful and creative spirit, pursue their passions and dreams and live life on their own terms. I work with accountants who long to paint; with journalists who yearn to be poets; and bankers who want to break free.
For most of us, desire, longing or even desperation to change will only get us so far. I know from my own experience that it takes huge courage to come out of hiding, to let go of an identity we have clung to for so long and to trust that we can make our way in the world in a different way. And we can't do it alone. We need support, an accomplice, a cheerleader, a coach.

I am passionate about midlife mentoring because I have been through my own "midlife crisis" and deep transformation, for which I am now incredibly grateful.
I used to have a dream life on the outside - an incredible job as a political reporter for the news agency Reuters, a beautiful London flat, lots of friends, a hectic social life, regular holidays and all the freedom and independence I'd ever wanted. But the reality on the inside was very different. My job excited me for years but by my mid-30s, I felt soul dead, stressed and over-worked. I was also single and didn't have any children. I was approaching 40. How on earth had I ended up here? I broke down, burnt out and got signed off work.
Slowly, I began to rebuild. I began to identify the things that made my heart sing. I began to shift my priorities. I began to have different dreams. I wanted to live by the sea, walk on the beach, work less, feel more balanced and fall in love.
I am now 48 and I recently got married. I live by the sea, walk on the beach and feel more balanced. I work less and I work at something I feel incredibly passionate about - helping other busy women and men achieve their heart's desires and create a life of their dreams - so much of the time it doesn't feel like work. I have written and published my first book and am writing more - a novel and poetry.
